BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND
Commercial Solutions are a resource company to architects, designers and builders, equipped to recommend and supply blinds, furnishings and furniture with the end in mind. The Desa Building below, was designed to make a striking visual statement. The unshaded, tinted high performance glass was installed for aethetic appeal and reported solar efficiencies. In practice the actual level of heat and glare made the interior space unusable. The solution we provided was motorised silverscreen fabric roller blinds, which controlled heat, glare and provided occupant comfort. We invite you to involve us at the design stage of a building, as this will allow us to make recommendations with regard to pelmet boxes for blinds, electrical cabling, switching and the like. By making provision for these items as a PC expense, significant savings can be achieved.

ROLLER BLINDS

PLEATED BLINDS

An example of this is our recent fit-out at Mill Park Library. Here we designed and commissioned motorised pleated blinds which raise 'up and out ' from the window sill. The Magnetic Suspension System will greatly reduce the risk of patient self harm presented by curtain tracks and other everyday items. It is discreet, attractive and effective, and is in use in psychiatric institutions throughout the U.K. The system works. It will securely hold a range of items by powerful short range magnetic attraction. When an abnormal load is applied the magnetic force is overcome and releases its load. It will do this time after time with no decline in performance, and there is no mechanical restraint at all, nothing can jam or wear out. After an incident, all that is required is for the suspended item to be held immediately below the magnetic bracket or brackets. The magnetic force will then take over and raise it to its correct position.
